Fox Pauses Queen Biopic 'Bohemian Rhapsody'
Fox Pictures has reportedly put a pause on the production of its Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody in London.
"Twentieth Century Fox Film has temporarily halted production on Bohemian Rhapsody due to the unexpected unavailability of Bryan Singer," Fox said in a statement.
Singer, who is directing the film, did not show up to the set after the U.S. Thanksgiving break, according to The Hollywood Reporter. His rep issued a statement explaining his absence is due to “a personal health matter concerning Bryan and his family.”

Other sources on set told THR Singer had been routinely late, and even noted one occasion where a cinematographer had to take his place.
Singer reportedly also took absences from production of X-Men: Apocalypse in Montreal and during the making of Superman Returns.
The highly anticipated Bohemian Rhapsody, starring Rami Malek as Queen frontman Freddie Mercury, is due to hit theatres Dec. 25, 2018.
