Big Lebowski Spin Off on Jesus Quintana Is ALMOST Done

Nobody f**ks with the Jesus.

John Turturro who played Jesus Quintana in the cult classic The Big Lebowski has been working on a side project and spin off for his character.

Going Places is just about finished. According to an interview Turturro did with The Independent, the editing process took a long longer than expected, but he is finally settled on a cut that meets his standards.

A plot synopsis was released a while ago for Going Places - a film about “a trio of misfits whose irreverent, sexually charged dynamic evolves into a surprising love story as their spontaneous and flippant attitude towards the past or future backfires time and again, even as they inadvertently perform good deeds.” (via IMDB)

The film also casts Audrey Tautou (Amélie), Pete Davidson (SNL), and Bobby Cannavale (Blue Jasmin, Ant Man).

In his interview with The Independent Turturro calls Going Places - 'a bit of a racy movie.'
“It shows how stupid men are. That’s what the movie is kinda about – the women are the stronger, more together characters. I had to tweak it a little bit but now I feel really good about it. It’s basically an exploration of Jesus getting out of jail [after being framed as a pedophile]. It’s a comedy but a very human comedy.”

And in case you were worries, Turturro had the full support of Big Lebowski directors Joel and Ethan Coen in the making of Going Places.

Hell yes I'm watching this.
