Gas Tax revenue being shared around. Barrie gets 2.3M

You might say, It's one of the few benefits of us paying through the nose, at the gas pump.
The communities we live in, get a bit of a kick-back.
Barrie will receive 2.3 million dollars, from provincial gas-tax funding, which will be spent to enhance and expand the Barrie Transit system.
      It's a slight increase from last years gas-tax kick-back.
Other communities will share in the annual dole-out, including $550 thousand for Orillia, nearly 900 grand for the County, just over 300 grand for Collingwood, 200 for Wasaga, and 182 thousand for Midland.    The money must be spent on local transit projects and improvements.
