Farm tractor driver busted for impaired driving in Tiny.
Impaired Farm Tractor Operator Apprehended in Tiny Township
(TINY TOWNSHIP, ON) - Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched in the afternoon of June 5, 2019 to a report of an impaired driver operating a farm tractor in the Balm Beach area of Tiny Township. The suspect male driver was located by an OPP officer heading north bound on Tiny Beaches Road North on an Kubota farm tractor. Upon speaking with the driver the officer entered into a drinking and driving investigation resulting in Nolan RITCHIE 57 years of Christian Island being charged with the following criminal code driving offences-
- Operation while impaired - Alcohol and Drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Driving while prohibited
Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
His tractor was towed from the scene and impounded for 45 days and his drivers license has been suspended for 90 days under the Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) program. He was held in police custody to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on June 6, 2019 in Midland.
