Aquaworld Land Acquired

Artist Rendering of AquaWorld in Augusta Township

A plan to build Aquaworld is one step closer.

The developer has officially bought the land.

Stefano Ferrante paid about $900,000 dollars for the land in Augusta township.

The next step will require getting approval from the township to rezone it for a waterpark. That will reportedly happen in the fall, as reported by the Recorder and Times.

The planned Aquaworld would host not just an indoor water park - but also  a resort hotel, spa, as well as restaurants and other amenities.
