Brett Gibson Named Men's Hockey Head Coach For The U18 Hockey World Championships

A Gananoque-native has been named to lead Canada's mens team at the under 18 hockey World Championship in Sweden.

Brett Gibson has been Queen's Gaels mens hockey head coach for 13 season, and was head coach for Team Canada White at the 2018 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.

The games will happen in Örnsköldsvik and Umeå, Sweden from April 18 until the 28.

Canada will open the IIHF U18 World Championship against Finland on April 18.  They'll also face Switzerland on April 19, Belarus on April 21 and the Czech Republic April 23 in preliminary-round action.

TSN will be broadcasting 16 games, including Team Canada's.
