Brockville Braves Announce New Head Coach

The Brockville Braves have named their new bench boss for the 2017/18 season.

The team announced last Friday (April 7th)  that former NHL player Jesse Winchester will be taking over head coaching duties.

Winchester played in 285 NHL games, spending most of his time with the Ottawa Senators.

This is the third new coach in as many seasons for the Braves.

Winchester takes over for Colin Birkas who led the Braves to the playoffs with a 33-26-1 record.

They were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in 5 games by Ottawa.
