Brockville Police Arrest Man Responsible for Armed Robbery at King Street Convenience Store
The Brockville Police have nabbed the man responsible for the armed robbery taking place the Brockville Mac's Convenience Store over the weekend.
A 28 year old Brockville man has been arrested and charged following the release of surveillance photos Monday afternoon (January 30th).
After the photos were made public, Brockville Police received numerous tips from members of the community with regards to the robbery.
Detectives following up on the tips were able to positively identify the suspect.
The arrest was made on the same day, with patrol officers spotting the accused at a downtown restaurant and arresting him for the robbery.
On Tuesday (January 31st), officers from the Criminal Investigations Office and Forensic Identification Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of the accused and recovered evidence linked to the robbery.
The 28 year old man appeared briefly in Brockville court Tuesday afternoon and has been remanded into custody until Friday February 3rd.
