Brockville Police Confiscate Pot in Latest RIDE Checkpoint
The Brockville Police put on another Ride Program on Monday (March 6th) which stopped 120 vehicles... no alcohol-related offenses were discovered but officer did uncover some pot.
Officers conducting the sobriety checks found two drivers in possession of marijuana.
The incidents occurred around 11:00pm at the RIDE check stop located on Stewart Blvd and Eleanor Street.
The suspects ranged in ages from 21-18. Both vehicles were only in possession of a small amount of pot which was confiscated, the drivers were released with a warning.
The Brockville Police are reminding drivers they now have Drug Recognition Expert officers to test and provide expert court testimony on drug impairment and offenders can face the same penalties in court as drivers impaired by alcohol.
Scooter hit and runs are now a thing in London. Certainly not as intimidating as hardcore biker gangs, but a serious problem nonetheless.
Marijuana will be legal in Canada come July 1st, so maybe we will see more and more commercials like this one.
