Brockville Police Prevent $1000 Shoplifting Spree

Brockville Police nabbed a women who attempted a rather ambitious shop lifting spree.

Security at a North End store contacted police on Saturday (August 19th) around 3pm to report a suspected large theft in progress.

When officers responded they observed the suspect loading a shopping cart full of various merchandise.

She then left the store with the cart containing just under $1000 worth of items, making no effort to pay.

Cops arrested and charged the 51-year-old woman from Kemptville with theft.

Upon further investigation it was learned she also had outstanding warrants for other theft incidents.

She was released from Brockville custody with a court date and turned over to the OPP to answer for her other crimes.
