Counties Council Give 6 Figure Donation to Sherwood Park Manor
Local municipalities are doing their best to make sure a long term care facility in Leeds and Grenville stays open.
The Leeds and Grenville council voted yesterday (September 5th) to donate $100,000 to Sherwood Park Manor, a facility that has is in dire need of financial help.
Donations have also been given by Brockville ($30,000) and Elizabethtown-Kitley ($35,000).
The money provided by the municipalities will be used to mend the roof and for various other repairs.
Sherwood Park Manor ran an operating deficit of $70,000 last year and is currently $3.3 million in debt.
The building is 50 years old and provides 107 long term beds.
