CPHC Announces Brand New Hockey Based Fundraiser
The CPHC is looking to Canada's favorite game in an effort to help pay off some of their bills.
This past Friday (April 21st), officials from the regional health agency announced the upcoming Leeds and Grenville Charity Hockey Challenge.
The event is scheduled for October 19 at the Memorial Centre with local MP Gord Brown, MPP Steve Clark and Mayor Dave Henderson all promising to team up and participate in the event.
The game promises to also include former NHL players.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the CPHC's operations debt which now sits at roughly $2.5 million.
Almost 30% of the health facility's budget is comprised through fundraising endeavors like the charity hockey challenge.
More information on the event will be made available over the coming months.
