CPHC Celebrates National Caregiver Day
It's Family Caregiver Day today.
It aims to recognize the over 3 million family caregivers living in Ontario.
The Community & Primary Health Care (CPHC) says there is a wide list of those caring for partners, grandparents, and children who have illness, disability, or challenges related to aging.
In a release, the CPHC and the Ontario Caregiver Coalition (OCC) says the day aims to raise awareness about the important work they do.
“Caregivers are the unsung heroes of our health care and social service system,” says Cheryl Perera, Chair of the OCC. “It is our responsibility as a province to recognize their contribution and while we have made progress, we still have a long way to go to truly recognize the important work that caregivers do.”
The CPHC says if you want to get involved use #thxcaregivers on social media, or sign their card on their website.
Choir! Choir! Choir! invited the famous singer to perform with them and he actually showed up! Watch this fantastic performance and his call to Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters to do the same.
It's not every day you can witness the birth of a gorilla. Little Moke is a male and he is the pride and joy of his 15-year-old mother Calaya. He was born at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, DC.
The bird was probably not satisfied with the company's service and took action.
