Doris McEwan Passes Away
Brockville lost one of it's Sports Hall of Fame Members last weekend.
Doris McEwan passed away at her residence on Saturday (August 12th) at the age of 92.
Born in England, she competed in the 1948 Olympics in Wembley swimming anchor on the relay team.
In the late 80's when she joined the 1000 Islands Masters and now holds world records for many categories in her age group.
She was inducted into the Brockville Sports Hall of fame in 2002.
Private funeral arrangements have been made with the Irvine Funeral Home.
