Driver Charged After Crash Closes 401
A Cornwall woman is facing charges after a crash Wednesday, which briefly closed the 401 just ahead of the morning rush hour.
Leeds OPP say they received a call at 5:10 this morning for an aggressive, swerving driver heading eastbound.
A few minutes later police say the 58-year-old driver crashed with a transport truck, just east of Highway 137 in Leeds and the Thousand Islands Township, and allegedly left the scene.
Police say she found about 1km away from the crash and transported to hospital in Brockville.
There are no further details on injuries.
She has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Careless Driving.
