Frost Advisory In Effect

There is a frost advisory in effect for Leeds-Grenville.

Temperatures tonight will plunge to near zero degrees under clear skies and light winds, because of of an Arctic high pressure area. Frost is likely in many areas overnight into Friday morning as a result.

Environment Canada suggests covering up plants, "especially those in frost-prone areas."

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
