GoFundMe For Missing Ottawa Boy Reaches 51K
A GoFundMe campaign for the 11-year-old boy who went missing while boating west of Rockport, has climbed past $51,000 in just one day.
The campaign's description says that it's being done by "family and friends" hoping to raise $50,000.
As of Monday, the funderaiser is a top-trending campaign on the website, reaching $51,125.
The boy went missing after his families boat capsized on the St. Lawrence over the Labour Day long weekend. The family has since released a statement thanking the public and search and rescue teams for their help. They also say they will not be revealing their identities until their boy is found.
