Heat Warning Continues in Brockville
Environment Canada says the extreme heat blanketing over much of the province in recent days will continue through tomorrow.
In most parts of southern Ontario-- including Brockville-- temperatures today and tomorrow are forecast to climb into the low to mid 30's.
Humidex values will also increase, reaching near 40 on both days and only going down to the 20s at night.
The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit says that the best thing to do is stay indoors where theres air conditioning. They also say to stay hydrated by avoiding alcohol, drinking lots of water and eating water based fruit like watermelons.
The heat poses the greatest dangers to children, those with illness and the elderly.
They remind you to never leave your children or pets in parked cars or sleeping outside in direct sunlight.
