Lazy Dog Causes Traffic Tails of Woe in Oxford Mills

A sleepy dog caused a bit of commuter confusion in Kemptville over the weekend

OPP say they responded to a number of calls of a dog, lying in the road taking a nap, around 3:30pm in the afternoon.

He wasn't about to move, even as the cars swerved to avoid him on Water street, in Oxford Mills.

Fortunately, police were able to persuade the uninjured dog to continue his Saturday snooze in the back of their cruiser.

The dog had apparently escaped from a fenced backyard, when the owners were gone.

"The dog was happily reunited with his owners," said OPP in a release. "But sadly missed by the officers."
