Leeds and Grenville Searching for Long Term Care Beds
The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville are hoping to discover the location of 78 long term care beds.
Those beds were up for grabs when the long term care facility in Prince Edward County closed down earlier this year.
Leeds and Grenville put in a bid to receive 60 of the 78 beds however their request was denied. The Ministry of Long Term Care claimed the beds has been allocated to other facilities.
On top of that the ministry is keeping the location of these 78 beds a secret.
Due to the fact that the placement of such beds is funded publicly, The United Counties have filed a freedom of information act request to determine their location.
