Are you under the age of 30 and thinking of being your own boss this summer?

The Leeds and Grenville Small Business Enterprise Centre wants to help you out.

They've opened applications for the Summer Company program, a young entrepreneur’s initiative.

It offers up to $1,500 and training to help get a student's business running. Officials say previous years recipients have run from gardening and landscaping, to farmers markets.

Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 29 and returning to school in the fall.

The centre says participants are also required to complete a business plan, work in their business full-time, and attend meetings and training sessions as required.

If successful, applicants also have the chance to recieve up to additional funding of $1500 to return to school.

Interested applicants can apply online with their business plans.
