Municipal Election Debate Set In Brockville
The first debate has been set in the 2018 municipal elections.
It will be on Thursday, September 27, and held by The Brockville Chamber of Commerce at the Brockville Arts Centre.
There are 21 candidates running for council and four for mayor.
The Chamber says the candidates running for council will recieve up to five questions ahead of time, and the answers will be posted online on the Chamber website. They will be given 2 minutes to state their platform the night of the debate.
Mayoral candidates will face up to 12 questions in a proper debate format.
The Chamber is asking residents to submit any question to candidates to their email address email@example.com.
Candidates questions must be submitted by Monday, September 10.
Questions for mayoral candidates are to be submitted by Monday, September 17.
