New Hotel Coming to Brockville Downtown Core
It looks like Brockville's downtown core will receive a welcomed shot to the arm.
Local developer Rob Thompson confirmed yesterday (July 12th) that he plans to purchase both the former TD Bank property at 48 King Street West and the building that includes Alan Brown Clothiers and the Keystorm Pub.
The reason for this is Thompson is planning to build a hotel encompassing those two properties.
The two buildings will form the first and second phases of the Brockville Suites Hotel, which will be built in the image of the already standing Kemptville suites hotel.
Both Alan Brown's and the Keystorm Pub will remain in their respective locations despite the development.
Thompson plans to invest up to $5 million for the project, which could eventually add a banquet hall to the hotel.
Construction is expected to start later this year with the hopes the hotel can open by next spring.
It must be terrible to meet such adorable little puppies and not be able to pet them because they might be... radioactive!
You have to watch this astonishing footage of the Swiss Alps. It is absolutely breathtaking! Bonus points for an excellent choice of music.
Do you remember the old movie titled "Never Too Young To Die?" Well, as it turns out, an exact copy of that movie was released a few years ago and the sequel is now in cinemas!
