New Hotel Coming to Brockville Downtown Core
It looks like Brockville's downtown core will receive a welcomed shot to the arm.
Local developer Rob Thompson confirmed yesterday (July 12th) that he plans to purchase both the former TD Bank property at 48 King Street West and the building that includes Alan Brown Clothiers and the Keystorm Pub.
The reason for this is Thompson is planning to build a hotel encompassing those two properties.
The two buildings will form the first and second phases of the Brockville Suites Hotel, which will be built in the image of the already standing Kemptville suites hotel.
Both Alan Brown's and the Keystorm Pub will remain in their respective locations despite the development.
Thompson plans to invest up to $5 million for the project, which could eventually add a banquet hall to the hotel.
Construction is expected to start later this year with the hopes the hotel can open by next spring.
This proves that you can both succeed and fail at the same time. Front flip face plant!
Who thought of this! It's still pretty funny! When are we getting a Lemon Tesla?
Don't turn around, I think there's a 600 pound apex predator coming... Scary!
