New Hotel Coming to Brockville Downtown Core
It looks like Brockville's downtown core will receive a welcomed shot to the arm.
Local developer Rob Thompson confirmed yesterday (July 12th) that he plans to purchase both the former TD Bank property at 48 King Street West and the building that includes Alan Brown Clothiers and the Keystorm Pub.
The reason for this is Thompson is planning to build a hotel encompassing those two properties.
The two buildings will form the first and second phases of the Brockville Suites Hotel, which will be built in the image of the already standing Kemptville suites hotel.
Both Alan Brown's and the Keystorm Pub will remain in their respective locations despite the development.
Thompson plans to invest up to $5 million for the project, which could eventually add a banquet hall to the hotel.
Construction is expected to start later this year with the hopes the hotel can open by next spring.
The Toronto Zoo introduced a white rhino calf to snow. The calf reacted exactly how you would expect!
What would happen if you died in front of your cat? This man tried it and was disappointed by the result.
Big (huge!) bear had a serious case of the blues. Hopefully for him, his human friend was there to cheer him up a little.
