No Injuries After Four Crashes On Highway 401 Thursday
Police were kept busy during the morning rush hour on Thursday.
OPP report said they responded to four separate crashes, all involving tractor-trailers on Highway 401, between the Maitland and Prescott exits, through Augusta Township.
The first one happened around 6:30am, after a truck heading west collided with a center barrier on the highway. It caused debris and lane closures until around 8am.
Then at 8:15am, three separate transport trucks ended up in the ditch on both sides of the highway.
There are no injuries and OPP say they are investigating. Media officials say to expect delays as crews work to remove the trucks.
Residents woke up to snow and slippery conditions throughout Eastern Ontario as the area saw significant overnight snowfall. OPP are reminding drivers to drive with caution according to winter conditions.
