North Grenville Looking For Canada Day Planners
North Grenville is looking for creative residents to host their Canada Day celebrations.
For the past three years the Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture has co-ordinated the celebrations in Riverside Park.
Officials say with all the other events around that time it's tough to manage everything - so they're looking for interested event planners to put on the festivities for 2018.
The municipality will provide a budget of over $22,000 - including $8,500 for a fireworks display. Support staff will be on hand to help during the day and the North Grenville Fire Department will supervise the execution and cleanup of the fireworks display.
The deadline to apply is Tuesday, March 20 and a link to the proposal can be found on North Grenville's municipal website.
