Province Continues to Support Railway Tunnel Restoration
More money is on the way to help with Brockville's Rail Tunnel restoration.
The Ontario 150 Community Capital Program has donated an extra $250,000 to the cause.
With the latest donation, funding for the railway tunnel's first phase of construction is up to $3.1 million. The total cost is around $3.9 million.
The first phase of the project will restore the railway tunnel and its north-portal gorge. The tunnel will be secured structurally, with lighting and security cameras and a smooth concrete floor added in.
A rubber-wheeled "Rotary Train" will also be purchased to transport tourists between the north and south ends of the tunnel.
The first phase of the project is too be unveiled on August 10th when the Rails to Trails festival begins in Brockville.
Scooter hit and runs are now a thing in London. Certainly not as intimidating as hardcore biker gangs, but a serious problem nonetheless.
Marijuana will be legal in Canada come July 1st, so maybe we will see more and more commercials like this one.
Boston Celtics' Gordon Hayward broke his ankle on opening night against the Cavaliers and it looked awfully painful. Not for the faint of heart.
