SLC Students Are Hacking It
St. Lawrence College students are giving back to a local charity today.
The students are doing a ‘Hackathon’ -- where students spending multiple hours in a computer hacking marathon -- but instead of tech challenges, they aim to solve social problems.
They'll be putting together a communications and promotions strategy for Homeward Bound Brockville... a charity that helps single mothers obtain a college degree, find jobs, and to become financially self-sufficient.
The Hackathon starts this afternoon at 2pm to 10pm at the Kingston campus.
