Steve Clark Lobbies Province For Answers Regarding Potential Landfill Site
Local MPP Steve Clark is siding with the United Counties Council in questioning the province.
The questions regard the validity of the nearly 20 year old Environmental Assessment for the ED-19 site in the Township of Edwardsburgh/Cardinal.
In 1998, the province assessed the area and provided a Certificate of Approval to operate the site as a landfill, an idea that the county council is considering putting back into action.
Now the council of Leeds and Grenville as well as the MPP wish to know if the certificate still applies.
Clark tabled two questions to environment minister Glen Murray at yesterday's (March 27th) legislative assembly asking for reasons as to why the certificate would or would not still be valid.
The environment minister is legally required to formally answer these questions by no later than May15th.
This bird will only dance if its human does the music. Talk about a good dance partner!
128 crashes occurred under that bridge. Maybe the city should put signs to warn drivers?! *Sigh*
We seriously think that saxophone adds a touch of cool to a regular breathalyzer test.
