What's Open and Closed Over Thanksgiving


Brockville City Hall will be closed on Monday. Business will resume as usual on Tuesday, October 9.

Waste and recycling collection will be pushed to one day after your regular collection day.

Transit will not be running on the Holiday Monday, Oct 8th.

The Leeds Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit will close offices and clinics on Monday.

YMCA of Brockville will be open 8-2pm on Thanksgiving Day Monday. They will have classes on as listed on their website.

At the Brockville General Hospital the following outpatient services will not be available: Laboratory services, day surgery, all clinics & community programs. All emergency services, x-ray & inpatient services are open and are not impacted. All services will resume on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.



Walmart is open for its regular business hours on Sunday but will be closed the Holiday Monday.

The Great Canadian Superstore will be open on Sunday 7am- 8pm and closed on Monday.

Metro on King St. Sunday regular hours will have the store open until 9pm, but closed on the Monday.

LCBO stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 8. Regular hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, October 9.

Winners confirms shopping hours will remain the same and open on Monday.


Museums and Activities

The Brockville Arts Centre's box office will be closed on Sunday and Monday.

The Brockville Museum is currently in its Winter Hours and will be closed on the holiday Monday.

The Aquatarium will be open Saturday, Sunday, Monday for their regular hours 10-5pm and closed Tuesday. Monday is half priced admission.
