Wind Warning Over Brockville
Environment Canada has issued a Wind Warning for Brockville and Leeds-Grenville Friday.
Wind gusts to 90 km/h are likely across much of the region after a cold front moves through from late afternoon to early evening.
Environment Canada Severe Weather Meteorologiest Rob Koon says the weather could be a challenge Friday evening.
"This system's going to be bringing two shots of showers and thunderstorms, but the biggest thing will probably be the strong winds."
Koon says those winds, on average pushing 70km/hr, could reach gusts of even higher speeds.
"We're looking at 85 km/hr and 90km/hr is not out of the question. We'll be monitoring it."
Koon says this can cause dangerous driving conditions, building damage and power outages.
Nothing as glorious as your typical Hollywood blockbuster fight scene.
Imagine being a passenger sitting on the right side of the plane and staring at the runway almost in front of you as the plane lands. Scary!
