The OPP is reminding people that 9-1-1 should be reserved for emergencies after a woman called from a Gananoque casino.
Leeds OPP received a call early Saturday morning from a woman who said she'd lost all her money at the Shoreline Casino Thousand Islands and had no way to get home.
Just before officers went to check on her though, the 21-year-old woman called back saying she was safe.
Someone had given the Quebec woman $20 and she said was going back inside.
OPP say that an emergency is when someone needs immediate assistance like a crime in progress, a fire or a medical emergency.
