31-year-old man arrested after string of overnight robberies

A 31-year-old Ottawa man is facing several robbery and weapon charges after a string of hold-ups overnight.

Police say two gas stations along Montreal Road and a convenience store on Beechwood Avenue were held up by a man armed with scissors between 1:15 and 5:10 Wednesday morning.

No one was hurt in any of the robberies, and the suspect only got a small amount of money from one of the gas stations, police say.

Donnelly Williams is facing three counts of robbery, three counts of weapon possession, and ten counts of breach of probation.
