Basement blaze causes $60,000 in damages to Lunenberg Cres. home
Firefighters are currently battling a fire in the basement of a two-storey, single family home at 1616 Lunenberg Cres.
They say 911 calls came in reporting the blaze just after midnight on Monday.
The home's occupants -- a family of three -- had safely evacuated before firefighters arrived.
Crews contained the fire to one room in the basement, and had it under control in less than 20 minutes.
There were no injuries reported.
The cost of the damages is estimated at $60,000 for the home and its contents.
The cause is being investigated.
