Flood clean-up, more concerns this long weekend
A flood warning remains in effect this weekend in Renfrew County.
The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources says conditions in some areas are still unsafe despite the decreasing water levels.
They're asking recreational boaters to avoid flooded lakes as hazard markers can't be replaced until levels get even lower.
The Ministry is also calling for people to use extreme caution on forest access roads.
Meanwhile, the Gatineau Solidary effort begins tomorrow.
People will be cleaning up sandbags and debris Saturday and Sunday.
A call was put out for volunteers ages 16 and over.
