Four people displaced by $300K apartment fire

Four people have been displaced by a fire on Bayswater Monday afternoon.

Ottawa Fire says the blaze broke out around 3:30 p.m. at a two-storey, three-unit building.

The blaze was under control within half an hour, but not before leaving behind $300,000 in damages, according to firefighters.

No one was reported hurt.

This was the third reported fire Monday; another matress fire in Nepean left behind about $20,000 in damages in the afternoon. A morning fire on Concord Street in Old Ottawa East forced 25 people out of their homes.
