Ottawa Police arrest pair in human trafficking investigation

A man and a woman from Ottawa are facing charges after a human trafficking investigation.

A victim came forward alleging incidents took place between June and December of last year.

The pair were arrested on the 2800 block of Baycrest Drive.

26-year-old Edmund Asante is facing six human trafficking, assault, and drug charges, and 22-year-old Kiana Norman is facing five human trafficking, drug, and uttering threats charges.

They're set to appear in court tomorrow.

An investigation is ongoing as police believe there could be more victims.
