Pedestrian in critical condition after being struck, police searching for witnesses

Ottawa Police are looking for witnesses to a morning crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian, which has left a 67-year-old woman in critical condition.

Ottawa Police say they were called to Bronson Avenue at Carling at 9:47 a.m Friday.

The victim suffered life-threatening head and pelvic injuries.

"We know there were several vehicles stopped in and near the intersection in the eastbound lanes of Carling Avenue when the collision occurred," Traffic Collision Unit investigator, Detective Alain Boucher, said in a police news release. "We need them to give us a call."
