Police seize guns, drugs in counterfeit pill investigation

Ottawa Police say 12 people have been arrested in connection with a suspected counterfeit pill ring.

OPP and Ottawa Police executed six warrants at several homes and apartments and a storage locker.

Six men and four women were arrested on scene. Another man and a woman were arrested this afternoon.

Police seized drugs, including pills laced with fentanyl, fentanyl powder, cocaine and meth, as well as eight guns, two stun guns disguised as cellphones, brass knuckles and $130,000 in cash.

The suspects are expected to appear in court tomorrow.
