Rotating postal strikes return to eastern Ontario

A new round of rotating postal strikes is targeting eastern Ontario again.

Postal workers walked off the job in Pembroke, Napanee, Hawkesbury, and Alexandria at 8:00 a.m. Friday.

Canada Post says the Canadian Union of Postal Workers has been stepping up strikes in recent days, affecting more towns and cities at once.

CUPW accuses the postal service of refusing to negotiate fairly as the two sides continue to be at an impasse after more than 10 months of bargaining.
