Rowdy Canada Day in Barrhaven

The extreme heat may have kept a lot of people away from Canada Day events in the Capital, but organizers of the Barrhaven Canada Day party tell CTV News they had  fairly large crowd, some of whom became rowdy.

Organizers tell CTV’s Annie Bergeron-Oliver that a group of about 100 to 200 people arrived at Clarke Fields in the evening and began setting off fireworks near other people.

Leftover fireworks litter the site of Barrhaven's Canada Day Party. Organizers say about 100-200 youth came in, lighting fireworks around kids and families enjoying the show. @ctvottawa pic.twitter.com/vph25skSqY
