Teammates help save man in cardiac arrest on ice
Public defribilators and quick-thinking teammates helped save a man's life Friday night while he was playing recreational hockey at Carleton University's ice rink.
Paramedics say a 50-year-old man went into sudden cardiac arrest while playing hockey.
His teammates started CPR and called 911 and paramedics then informed them of the closest defribilator.
His teammates were able to revive him, and the man was awake and talking when paramedic crews arrived moments later.
He was taken to hospital in stable condition.
