Youth seriously injured in Pembroke snowmobile crash

A 14-year-old boy has suffered serious injuries, following a snowmobile crash in Pembroke

OPP were called on Thursday after reports of a snowmobile colliding with a tractor-trailor on Fireboard drive, near Highway 17. 

Police say the young driver of the snowmobile ran a stop sign as he came off a trail, colliding with a tractor-trailor.

The 27-year-old truck driver from Mansfield, Quebec was not injured in the crash.

The boy, who cannot be named under the Provincial Offences Act, has been charged under the Motorized Snow Vehicle Act with disobeying traffic signs.
