401 reopens after eight hours
Canada's busiest highway was shut down for several hours, after a series of weather related collisions.
Ontario Provincial Police say that over a period of a few hours on Saturday, there were more than 100 crashes on Highway 401 east of Toronto.
It began early in the afternoon, when the Bowmanville area was hit by blowing snow and whiteouts.
Police say most of the collisions were fender benders, and no serious injuries have been reported
