A big day for comic book lovers this weekend

Free Comic Book Day is traditionally celebrated on the first Saturday in May.

The day offers up free versions of popular comic books in hopes of getting more readers into the format.

Several stores in Niagara are participating - according to the official website, Big B Comics, Freakshow Comics, and House of Fantasy Comics and Games in Niagara Falls as well as Sketchbook Comics and Games in St. Catharines are taking part.

Some of the titles this year include Minecraft, Little Lulu, Stranger Things, Avengers, and The Amazing Spider Man.

Of course tomorrow also happens to be Star Wars Day (May The Fourth) so there will also be a Star Wars Adventures book on offer.
