Another Tight IceDogs Loss to Hamilton 3-1

The IceDogs continue to play close matchups with the Hamilton Bulldogs and unfortunately continue to come out on the short end, again losing 3-1 in Hamilton Saturday night. Colton Incze would get the start in goal and play well, making 35 saves.

Johnny Corneil brought a hard edge to his game would be rewarded, scoring his 13th, 5:45 into the contest. Akil Thomas picked up the lone assist on a hard forecheck pass from behind the Bulldogs net. Hamilton responded with the tying goal five minutes later and hit for the eventual game winner on a power-play with less than 14 seconds left in the opening period.

A scoreless second would give way to the Bulldogs’ final goal, scored on a 5-3 advantage 6:17 into period number three.

The IceDogs were outshot 38-26 and now have four days off before Ottawa comes to the Meridian Centre, kicking off a three in three IceDogs weekend, Thursday night
