Author of Beloved dead at 88
Award-winning author Toni Morrison has died.
Morrison, considered among the world's greatest authors, died yesterday at age 88 in New York according to her publisher.
Morrison won the Pulitzer prize and the American Book Award in 1988 for her novel "Beloved," which was adapted into a 1998 film starring Oprah Winfrey.
In 1993 Morrison was awarded the Nobel Prize in literature.
