Bay Beach season passes available at Fort Erie town hall

Residents in Fort Erie can now stop by town hall to pay for season passes to Bay Beach.

In March, council decided to implement the fee to access the beach, but not without a fair share of controversy.

Residents spoke up, saying they didn't want to see a fee brought in since they already pay taxes, but ultimately the decision was made in light of the cost to the town to maintain Bay Beach.

It will cost $5 for a day pass, or residents can buy a season pass for $10.

Proof of residency will be required for the season pass.

Free access to the beach is available before 10 a.m. and after 4 p.m. of weekdays, and before 9 a.m. and after 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays.

A reminder that the grand opening of Bay Beach is scheduled for May 26th, so the section including a playground, washroom facility, and pergola will not be available for the long weekend.
