Bayshore Group facing at least five lawsuits
The company developing the old GM property on Ontario Street is facing a raft of lawsuits.
Post Media is reporting Bayshore Group is being sued for $15 million by recycler Attar Metals for breaching a profit sharing deal over the sale of scrap metal from the old industrial site.
Another company is suing for $30, 000 over a meet and greet at a charity boxing event put on by Bayshore in May at the Meridian Centre.
Life Rich claims Bayshore paid them to arrange an appearance by boxing champ Mike Tyson but failed to come up with an extra 30 grand to have the boxer show up for a meet and greet with guests.
The paper is also reporting the company is facing at least three other lawsuits involving the development at the former General Motors site.
