Beamsville school sends out note after man tries talking to students

A school in Beamsville is reminding parents and students about 'stranger safety' after an incident yesterday.

St.Mark Catholic School sending out a note saying that after school yesterday at 3:05 a white man described as elderly tried talking to students.

The man had an orange/brown van with the hood up.

He was standing beside it talking to students, but the children who were walking home did not respond and kept walking.

The Principal was notified this morning and filed a report with Niagara Regional Police.

A list of safety tips was also sent out to the school community.
