Cambridge OPP HQ destroyed in fire

OPP in Cambridge will be working out of a Milton collision reporting centre after fire destroyed its headquarters.

The Detachment commander, Staff Sgt. John Mraud saw flames coming for the roof yesterday afternoon, called 911 and safely evacuated the building.

The fire quickly spread gutting the building erected in 1986.

The cause remains under investigation.
